VIDEO: 34-Year-Old Man Attempts Bank Robbery with Fake Grenade in Moscow
A 34-year-old man has been detained in Moscow for attempting to rob a bank branch using a fake grenade. The incident occurred on the Izmayilovskoye Highway. The man entered the bank and, holding an object resembling a grenade, threatened staff and demanded cash from the vault.
Upon pressing the alarm button, the bank employees triggered an alert, prompting the suspect to flee the scene.
Authorities apprehended the suspect, who was found to possess a fake grenade that he had purchased online earlier. He has been charged with robbery and has been remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
The Russian Interior Ministry's press service has released footage from the scene of the incident.
