The ARF Shall Participate in the Elections: They Have Issued a Statement
The Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has issued a statement.
“The 24th Supreme Assembly of the ARF Armenia, examining the political and security situation in Armenia and Artsakh, assessing the prevailing sentiments in public life and the moral-psychological atmosphere, as well as the external and internal challenges and threats caused by the post-war situation, states the following:
- It remains a vital necessity for the future of our people and statehood to continue the removal of the treacherous government through all means previously declared, and the complete exclusion of Nikoleism from our country's governance.
- Although as a result of popular struggle, the authorities have been compelled to announce early parliamentary elections, it is evident that under the guise of elections, the government will try to do everything possible to re-establish itself.
- The potential holding of early parliamentary elections will have crucial significance for the preservation of our national identity and statehood.
Considering the aforementioned confirmations and statements, the ARF Armenia Supreme Assembly decided:
- To participate in the early parliamentary elections, viewing them as one of the means to remove the treacherous government.
- To reserve the authority to make decisions regarding the format of ARF participation in the upcoming elections to the ARF Armenia Supreme Body.
The ARF Armenia Supreme Assembly calls on our compatriots to continue the struggle for the urgent removal of the treacherous government, regardless of developments—whether there is an election or not—for the future of the country,” the statement reads.
