Aghsrun Hovhannisyan Resigned From the Ministry of Defense: Reasons Behind His Departure

Yesterday, one media outlet reported that Aghsrun Hovhannisyan had been dismissed from his position as the head of the Education Department of the Chief Department of Personnel and Military Educational Policy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with his own application a week ago.

According to ArmDaily.am's information, Hovhannisyan submitted four applications for resignation, but only the last application was signed. The first application, however, was written during the war, but the reasons for the resignation were due to circumstances related to the war, and there were no discrepancies between Davit Tonoyan and Hovhannisyan.

After the appointment of Vagharshak Harutyunyan, he wrote three resignation applications, but only the last one was approved. Our sources indicate that there were personal issues between Hovhannisyan and Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan. Specifically, Hovhannisyan opposed Harutyunyan's personnel and educational policy.
