Investigation Underway to Establish Circumstances of Armed Robbery Against Pharmacy Employee

On December 8, 2020, the Nor Nork division of the Armenian police received a report about an armed robbery that occurred at a pharmacy in the Avan Isahakyan neighborhood of Yerevan around 21:50.

According to preliminary data, the suspect entered the pharmacy under the pretext of purchasing medication. They attacked a female employee, using a stone as a weapon, striking her twice on the head, which posed a threat to her health. The assailant then stole money from the cash register and fled the scene.

A criminal case has been opened at the Prosecutor's Office of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts under Article 175 (robbery) of the RA Criminal Code, specifically under parts 2, points 3 and 4. The case has been accepted for investigation by the investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

An inquiry is ongoing. Measures are being taken to ascertain all circumstances of the incident and to identify and locate the individual who committed this apparent crime.
