Red Cross Representatives Visit Increasing Numbers of Detainees in Azerbaijan Almost Daily
Following the confirmation of the detainment of Armenian servicemen or civilian individuals in Azerbaijan, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) approaches the authorities to request visits, after which they visit the detainees.
Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs for the ICRC in Armenia, informed News.am that they visit an increasing number of detainees in Azerbaijan almost daily.
The Red Cross representatives assess the conditions of their detention, inquire about their health status, and assist in establishing contact with their families. The organization does not comment on the issue of the lists of detainees.
