Georgy Simonian Resigns from the Position of Director of the National Burn Center LLC
Georgy Simonian has today resigned from the position of director of the National Burn Center LLC, following his application. "Today, I was relieved of my duties as the director of the National Burn Center LLC, as per my application. I wish to express my gratitude to the Center's professional team, whose tireless work day and night made it possible over the past year and a half to implement large-scale changes, which include:
- During the war, thanks to our virtuoso burn specialists, 122 servicemen who suffered severe burns received quality professional medical care, and 75 complex surgical interventions were performed.
- The complete process of transporting the wounded from the front lines was organized with approximately 40 ambulances operating under the Center.
- Enhanced equipment was acquired, including:
- The Soviet-produced X-ray machine from 1986 was replaced with a digital X-ray machine from 2020,
- All diagnostic laboratory equipment was replaced with automated diagnostic devices from 2020, significantly reducing human error and greatly increasing diagnostic accuracy,
- Surgical tables, operating room lights, anesthesia machines, and surgical tools were upgraded,
- Artificial lung ventilation devices and patient monitors were acquired,
- Portable ultrasound diagnostic equipment, etc.
As of June 2019, the average salary of the staff was about 130,000 AMD, but by October 2020, it had risen to 240,000 AMD. During the September-November months of 2020, the revenue generated by the laboratory services amounted to around 10 million AMD (whereas, in the same period of 2019, the revenue was zero).
The financial situation over the years has shown the following results: in 2018, there was a loss of 37 million AMD; in 2019, 9 million AMD; while 2020 is expected to close with a profit.
I am grateful for the interesting and productive work," he stated on his Facebook page.
