Car Falls Off Embankment onto Railway Tracks

On December 4, around 08:30, employees of the South Caucasus Railway discovered a car that had fallen from the roadway onto the railway tracks in the Tumanyan-Sanahin section of Lori Province.

The vehicle, an Opel Zafira with state number 90OT101, was found abandoned, and the driver or any possible passengers were not located at the scene. Judging by tire tracks on the asphalt, it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll off the road and onto the railway tracks. Fortunately, due to the absence of a train in the area at the time of the incident, a more severe disaster was avoided.

This marks the fifth similar incident in 2020 alone where a car has ended up on railway tracks in Lori Province. The railway company is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of rail traffic and once again urges vehicle drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules.
