Heavy fighting continues on the frontline: Defense Army neutralizes Azerbaijani sabotage groups

Heavy fighting is ongoing on the frontline of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh. This was stated by Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan during a press conference on October 25.

“Today, intense hostilities have continued along the entire length of the battlefront. In the northern direction, shelling began early in the morning, and certain combat operations have taken place, which, however, are slightly less intense than the ongoing operations in the southern direction. In the south, throughout the day, the enemy has launched dozens of assaults and attacks in various directions towards the north and west, particularly towards the direction of Sanasar. Intense combat operations have continued all day, and heavy fighting is still ongoing at this moment,” Hovhannisyan stated.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan also added that the Defense Army continues to detect and neutralize Azerbaijani sabotage groups. “During the day, several sabotage groups have appeared in the forests adjacent to the village of Avetaranots, north of Hadrut and south of Martuni, and operations to search for and eliminate sabotage groups have continued in other areas. These operations are ongoing at this moment. As a rule, sabotage groups do not engage in combat and attempt to escape from the area, where our Armed Forces’ relevant units have been reported,” noted Hovhannisyan.
