Azerbaijan Begins Shelling Stepanakert at Dawn, Casualties Reported: Artsakh Ombudsman
Azerbaijan has commenced shelling Stepanakert since dawn on October 17. Residential areas have been damaged, and preliminary reports indicate that two civilians have been affected. This information was shared by the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan.
“Fortunately, people were in shelters, which allowed us to avoid significant losses,” Beglaryan noted, as reported by Armenpress.
An air raid alarm has been continuously sounding, and everyone is already on alert since dawn. One hour after the initial shelling, Azerbaijan launched another strike on the central civilian infrastructure of the Artsakh capital, causing destruction.
“Azerbaijan continues its war crimes, while the international community remains blind to the situation,” stated the Artsakh Ombudsman.
