Baku Could Be First City to Lose EURO 2020 Hosting Rights, The Sun
The next year’s European Championship may not be held in the format originally planned. UEFA is seriously considering reducing the number of host countries. This is reported by 1lurer.am, citing The Sun.
According to The Sun, Baku could become one of the first cities to lose the opportunity to host such a major tournament. The reason, of course, is the conflict with Armenia.
Saint Petersburg and the Spanish city of Bilbao may also face the same fate. The issue is that the Spaniards are having trouble with ticket sales.
However, the organization will make a final decision in the coming weeks.
