Putin and Erdogan Have Held a Phone Conversation
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The official website of the Russian President reports that the discussion focused on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the importance of implementing a humanitarian ceasefire.
They advocated for the intensification of the political process, particularly regarding the principles developed by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Putin expressed serious concern about the involvement of militants from the Middle East in the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian President expressed hope that Turkey, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, would take a constructive role in de-escalating the conflict in the region.
