Fake Fundraisers Organized Under the Guise of Soldier Needs
Various deceptive mechanisms continue to be employed on social media to extort money. Notably, since the large-scale war initiated by Azerbaijan on September 27, significant fundraising campaigns have been actively organized on Telegram. This information is provided by the Armenian Unified Information Center.
Recently, we have frequently observed various funds calling for monetary donations to support soldiers or their families. While we thank all initiative groups, we must inform the public that numerous fraudsters have also emerged in the field, aiming not to collect donations but to extort money.
Due to the diversity of these funds, it is often difficult to ascertain the true purpose of the fundraising efforts. Therefore, to avoid unwanted developments and to ensure that your contributions are used effectively, we urge everyone to make donations to the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund.
