Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan Begins in Moscow
The meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has started at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Guest House. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Armenian government. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova also announced the meeting on her Facebook page.
Earlier, the Kremlin reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had invited the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to Russia on October 9 for consultations regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. On Thursday, Putin called for a humanitarian ceasefire to halt the ongoing battles in the region to facilitate the exchange of deceased individuals and prisoners.
Today, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Baku and Yerevan have confirmed their participation in the consultations to be held in Moscow, adding that "active preparatory work is being conducted" for this meeting.
