Armenia's Ministry of Defense representative Artzruni Hovhannisyan has published the name of the commander of the 'Hovaz 1' position on his Facebook page: "Hayk Smoyan, commander of the 'Hovaz 1' position. Details later," he wrote.
Earlier, Artzruni Hovhannisyan noted that the commander of the 'Hovaz 1' position's bravery and literacy should be included in the history books of the Armenians.
In a conversation with NEWS.am, Rustam Bakoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'My Step' faction, mentioned that Hayk Smoyan is of Yazidi ethnicity.
