The US authorities are closely monitoring the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and will see if they can stop the escalation of the conflict. This was announced by US President Donald Trump during a briefing on Sunday, as reported by Armenpress.
"We are watching very closely. This just happened; I am aware of it. We have good relationships in that region. We will see if we can stop it," Trump said.
The US State Department has issued a statement regarding the situation along the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line. The United States has strongly condemned the escalation of violence and called on both parties to work with the Minsk Group co-chairs to return to substantive negotiations as soon as possible.
