Council of Europe Secretary General Calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to Cease Military Operations
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Maria Peichinovich Buric, has expressed concern over reports of escalating tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh and urged Azerbaijan and Armenia to immediately cease military operations, according to a statement released by the Council of Europe press service.
"I am seriously concerned about reports of military escalation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. I call upon our member states, Armenia and Azerbaijan, to exercise responsibility and restraint by immediately halting military actions," said Council of Europe Secretary General Maria Peichinovich Buric.
