No Talk of Serving Beyond the Scheduled Time: Defense Ministry Spokesperson
Two years ago, the winter conscription of 2018 was organized from January 7 to February 14. Now, those soldiers conscripted during that period are set to be discharged. This was stated by Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan, addressing earlier information that the Government had presented a draft decision regarding the winter conscription and discharge of regular military personnel for 2020, indicating that the conscription would take place from December 1, 2020, to January 31, 2021, and the discharge from January 7 to February 14, 2021.
This timeline suggests that some military personnel may serve slightly longer than the stipulated two years. “There can be no talk of serving beyond the scheduled time,” Stepanyan noted.
