A Truck Loaded with Large Cattle Rolled into a Ravine Near Yerevan-Meghri Road

On September 25, at 23:34, the Vayots Dzor regional crisis management center received a report that an accident had occurred near the village of Elpin, where a vehicle loaded with large cattle had rolled into a ravine; there were no injuries.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "ZIL 130" truck (driver: Yurik O.) had rolled about 70 meters into the ravine at the 93rd kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri highway.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle from the power supply, closed the gas cylinder valve, and moved the animals to a nearby safe area (1 horse, 11 calves, 5 of which were injured). Special equipment is necessary to retrieve the vehicle from the ravine.
