Salaries Alone Are Not Enough to Ensure the Effective Work of State Revenue Committee Employees, Says Chairman on Bonuses
The bonuses at the State Revenue Committee (SRC) are well aligned and accurately reflect the work performed by each employee, said SRC Chairman Edward Hovhannisyan during a conversation with journalists.
In response to a question from Aysor.am about whether SRC employees would not work well if bonuses were not granted, the SRC Chairman replied, "Today, relying only on salaries to retain employees is insufficient for organizing the effective work of SRC staff."
Touching on tax collection, Edward Hovhannisyan mentioned that a summary of the third quarter will be provided soon. "We will present a report on the first nine months, addressing tax collections as well. Overall, the performance of collections assessed by the government in the context of the pandemic's adverse effects is under control and manageable," he stated.
The SRC Chairman noted that there is a shortfall of approximately 49 billion drams in collections over the past eight months. "We expect that the difference will continue to grow, as the 49 billion dram difference reflects the negative variation compared to the comparable periods of 2019 and 2020," he said.
Speaking about the issues raised by clothing importers, he stated that the problem has been resolved. "As you can see, there have been no protests, the issue has been settled through joint efforts between the SRC and those engaged in the import and sale of clothing. Let me say it this way: the issue is resolved," added the SRC Chairman.
