Administrative Responsibility Will Apply for Violations of Sanitary and Hygienic Requirements, Says Food Safety Inspectorate
The Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia has resumed inspections conducted in the framework of efforts against the coronavirus, targeting food chain operators at public eating places, retail networks, and food production facilities. These inspections are taking place throughout the country, with the focus today on businesses in the Davtashen administrative district of the capital.
According to the Government of Armenia, a violation was discovered only at the "Odalen" restaurant complex, where the thermometer reading logs were incomplete, and no disinfectant register existed at all. Additionally, not all required locations had covered trash bins and disinfectants available. A protocol has been drawn up.
Moreover, the practice of suspending the activities of organizations will no longer be in effect. From now on, administrative responsibility will be applied in the case of violations of sanitary and hygienic requirements, in accordance with the Administrative Offenses Code of Armenia. Inspections will be conducted on a daily basis.
