Alexander Lukashenko Sworn In as President of Belarus
Alexander Lukashenko has officially assumed the presidency of Belarus. This was reported by RIA Novosti. Placing his right hand on the constitution, Lukashenko took an oath in Belarusian, after which the head of the Central Election Commission handed him the relevant document. The ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence.
It is noteworthy that protests have erupted in Belarus following the presidential elections, with dozens of citizens arrested during the demonstrations. Additionally, photos surfaced in the media during those days showing Lukashenko armed.
