Monitoring Imposed on Individuals Entering and Exiting Epidemic Zones
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, signed an order on September 18 regarding the organization of observation for individuals entering and exiting epidemic zones, as well as those who have had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient. This information is available on the website of the Ministry of Health of Armenia.
“Based on Article 20.6, Part 4 of the Law on Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety of the Population of the Republic of Armenia, I HEREBY ORDER:
- To approve the procedure for organizing observation for individuals entering the territory of the Republic of Armenia who have had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient, who are entering and exiting epidemic zones, as well as those entering from countries deemed unfavorable in terms of COVID-19, as outlined in the appendix.
- This order shall enter into force immediately after its official publication,” states the document.
Observation is a comprehensive set of medical examinations, epidemiological monitoring, preventive, sanitary-hygienic, and anti-epidemic measures applied to individuals who have had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient, and who are entering or exiting epidemic zones or coming from countries unfavorable with respect to COVID-19.
As part of the observation, medical examinations of isolated or self-isolated individuals will be conducted either in outpatient settings or at home by the primary health care sector during a 14-day period.
