Fire at Fire Extinguisher Manufacturing Plant Extinguished: Details

On September 21, at 22:45, the Kotayk regional crisis management center received a call regarding a fire that broke out at a fire extinguisher manufacturing plant located on the Abovyan-Maiakovski highway.

An operational group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department, along with seven firefighting teams from the regional and Yerevan city rescue departments, was dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained at 00:21 on September 22 and extinguished by 01:30.

Information from the Abovyan Medical Center indicated that Arsen H. (born in 2002), an employee of the plant, was hospitalized and has since been discharged after receiving appropriate medical care.

Approximately 20 machines used for fire extinguisher production, raw materials, as well as finished and semi-finished products were burned in the area of the building.

On-site were the responsible officer, Colonel E. Sngryan, and the head of the Kotayk regional rescue department, Colonel A. Amirjanyan.
