Criminal Case Initiated Over the Killing of Soldier Hovik Tamazyan by Enemy Forces

On September 16, 2020, at around 11:10 AM, soldier Hovik Nelson Tamazyan, who was stationed at the National Defense Ministry’s N military unit, sustained gunshot and fragment wounds to his left hand, chest, face, and neck due to fire from an enemy sniper position. Tamazyan died en route to the military hospital.

A criminal case has been launched by the military investigative unit of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 104, Part 2, Points 2 and 13 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. An investigation is ongoing.
