Car Accident in Tavush Region: Mercedes and Honda Elison Collide, 2 of 8 Injured are Schoolchildren

Yesterday, on September 14, a car accident occurred in the Tavush region. Around 23:50, on the 142 km stretch of the Yerevan-Ijevan-Maysyan bridge roadway, a Mercedes driven by 31-year-old Hayk Saribekyan, a resident of Azatamut village, collided with a Honda Elison driven by 55-year-old Hovhannes Ohanyan, a resident of Sevkar village.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, H. Saribekyan and the passengers of the Honda, including 17-year-old Arevik S., 7-year-old Samvel S., 63-year-old Arakksya Simonian, 37-year-old Marine Aghinyan, 67-year-old Lorik Simonian, 44-year-old Hakob Simonyan, and 37-year-old Roman Simonyan, were taken to the Ijevan Medical Center with bodily injuries. Citizens were the first to provide assistance to the injured.
