Sexual Abuse Against Daughter: Woman Filed False Report to Prevent Husband from Leaving

The investigation into a case of false reporting by a 33-year-old woman has concluded at the Regional Investigative Department of Armavir, Armenia. The inquiry revealed that the woman had falsely accused her husband of committing sexual violence against their minor daughter. Her motive was to deter him from going abroad for work, fearing that he would not return after traveling to Russia.

Based on sufficient evidence obtained during the pre-trial procedures, the 33-year-old resident of Armavir has been charged under the first part of the second clause of Article 333 (false accusation) of the RA Criminal Code. As a preventive measure, she has been placed under an obligation not to leave the country. The criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
