Fire in Turkey's Hatay Province Reduces 5 Hectares of Forest to Ashes After Four Days

A fire that broke out on September 11 in the forested area of the Dörtyol district in Turkey's Hatay Province has reduced over 5 hectares of land to ash. As reported by Ermenihaber, the cause of the still-unconfirmed fire has prompted the mobilization of a large number of firefighters and equipment.

According to the report, fire-fighting efforts involve fire engines, tanks, and specialized equipment, as well as firefighting helicopters. Work to extinguish the fire continues in the area.

It's worth noting that forest fires are frequently recorded in Turkey during the summer months, and despite technical resources, the challenging terrain often leads to delays in successfully extinguishing the fires.
