Gurgen Arsenyan's Son Arrested
On September 12, Tigran Baghdyan, the senior investigator of particularly important cases at the Arabkir investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, submitted a motion to the Center Court of Yerevan to impose a two-month detention on Gurgen Arsenyan, a resident of Yerevan. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
Judge Karen Farhkoyan held a closed court session and, upon returning from the deliberation room, granted T. Baghdyan's request. Gurgen Arsenyan, the son of former National Assembly member and businessman Gurgen Arsenyan, is suspected of committing a robbery against 67-year-old T.M., a resident of Yerevan, and has been arrested. He will be transferred to a correctional facility.
