Unfortunately, pleading, begging does not work, administrative measures must be applied. Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today at a government meeting that we are conducting extensive testing for teachers. “We want to open schools and not close them again,” he said, emphasizing the need to adhere to strict regulations so that schools do not open only to be forced to close again.
“Our experience shows that unfortunately, pleading, begging does not work. We have been asking, begging, and pleading on a daily basis for a long time, but when it doesn’t work, administrative measures must be applied,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan added that the threat of a second wave of coronavirus looms. The Prime Minister elaborated, “The threat of a second wave is not just a theoretical concern; it is happening in many European countries. There are countries that declared they had overcome it four months ago, and now they are returning to widespread quarantine. Therefore, this issue will continue to develop, and I believe it is too early to draw conclusions about the situation related to coronavirus.”
