The Armenian Government to Donate 10 Health Vehicles to Artsakh
The Armenian government plans to withdraw 10 units of "Ford Transit" DLQ5030XJHA type vehicles, acquired in 2020 and registered to the Ministry of Health, and donate them to the Republic of Artsakh, provided that the vehicles are used for their intended purpose.
This decision draft is included in the agenda of the government session on September 9. According to the justification, the purpose of the draft is to support the daily operations of the emergency medical services within the healthcare system of the Republic of Artsakh and to enhance the quality and accessibility of these services.
Of the donated vehicles, 3 are ambulance transports equipped with 9 types of necessary medical equipment for emergency medical assistance and a first aid kit, which in turn is stocked with supplies needed to provide first aid to patients. The other 7 vehicles are standard vehicles, also equipped with 6 types of essential medical devices and a first aid bag.
The draft has been developed within the framework of cooperation and support with the Republic of Artsakh. The 10 emergency medical assistance vehicles being donated are highly mobile and adapted to the mountainous terrain of the Republic of Artsakh. The total value of the vehicles is estimated at nearly 300 million AMD.
