Who Will Replace Sergey Bagratyan in the Commission?
The daily newspaper, «Jowhqur», reports that on September 10, there will be an election for the vice-chairman of the permanent commission on territorial administration, local self-government, agriculture, and environmental issues. The reason for this election is that the previous vice-chairman of the commission, former MP Sergey Bagratyan from the Bright Armenia faction, has left the faction. According to Article 6 of the National Assembly Procedures law, if a member of parliament leaves their faction, they are no longer entitled to remain in the commissions, as well as in inter-parliamentary commissions and parliamentary organizations.
Consequently, a new candidate must be nominated for Bagratyan's position. Jowhqur learned that Vardevan Grigoryan will replace him in this role. Additionally, Bagratyan's name has been removed from the official National Assembly website as the vice-chairman of the commission, and there will soon be changes in the inter-parliamentary commissions as well.
