‘Joghout’ Reveals Potential Candidate for Deputy Minister of Justice Position
‘Joghout’ newspaper reports that former Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan was appointed by the Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan on September 1 to oversee the functions related to the confiscation of illegally acquired property. As such, the position of Deputy Minister of Justice is currently vacant.
According to information received by ‘Joghout’, Judge Armen Hovhannisyan from the Court of General Jurisdiction of Armavir Province is rumored to be appointed to this position soon. It is worth noting that he is described within law enforcement as a smart and knowledgeable judge, although he was only recently appointed to the bench.
His official biography states that he was appointed as a judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Armavir Province on February 26, 2019, and prior to that, he worked in the Supreme Court of Armenia from 2014 to 2019, initially as an advisor to the President of the Supreme Court, and later as the chief specialist in the Legal Expertise Service.
