Citizen Attempted Suicide by Jumping from Bridge; Incident Averted

On September 2, at 13:23, the National Centre for Crisis Management received information that a citizen was attempting to commit suicide by jumping from the Victory Bridge in Yerevan. This was reported by the media office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A rescue team from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the on-duty psychologist from the Psychological Support Division were dispatched to the scene. Together with law enforcement officers, rescuers successfully averted the citizen's (gender unspecified, born in 1986) suicide attempt and escorted them to the Mashtots Police Station.
