Mr. Chobanyan: No Reports of Domestic Violence in Khashatark Family Have Been Recorded Before
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan, wrote on her Facebook page: "During a phone conversation with the governor of Tavush, Haik Chobanyan, he confirmed that an internal investigation has been initiated to clarify the circumstances of the incident that occurred in the Khashatark community.
The governor assured that the large family has been under constant attention from the community and the governor's office as a socially disadvantaged family and has regularly received financial support. Community organizations operating in the region have also provided assistance to the family.
According to Mr. Chobanyan, no information or reports regarding domestic violence in the family had been recorded before. To ensure that the children are not separated, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will provide care for all five children at the same facility. Currently, discussions are also underway regarding appropriate support for other family members with disabilities, including the provision of round-the-clock care."
