Elderly Woman Revived in Russian Morgue
In the town of Gorsechni, near Kursk, an elderly woman who was declared "deceased" after an intestinal surgery was sent to a morgue. The following morning, morgue staff discovered her in a conscious state. This was reported by the newspaper "Kurskiye Izvestia."
"A malignant tumor and metastases were found in the intestines. Her intestinal function had been restored, but after surgery, the woman had experienced clinical death... which is why she was sent to the morgue," hospital staff shared with the publication.
The elderly woman was taken home by her relatives, who had come to the hospital to arrange for her burial.
The hospital commented on the incident by citing outdated equipment and the young age of the physician involved.
