520 Elevators to be Replaced in Yerevan, Says Hakob Karapetyan

Until 2018, 35 elevators were replaced in Yerevan. A total of 520 elevators will be replaced based on the sum from 2019-2020. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Yerevan Municipality, Hakob Karapetyan.

“All new elevators, by the way, are inclusive—they are equipped with audio signals in Armenian, they have Braille inscriptions on the elevator buttons, and it’s easy to enter with a wheelchair. The elevator replacement program also addresses job creation. Many of our craftsmen, including those who have recently returned to the homeland, have jobs because of this,” wrote Karapetyan.
