625 Citizens in Shirak Province Under Home Quarantine, 174 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus

As of August 1 at 11:30 AM, 31 residents of Shirak province are receiving treatment for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital. Since March 1, a total of 7,745 samples have been taken in the healthcare facilities of Shirak province and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 31, 6,391 samples were tested in Gyumri alone, with 25 new cases of coronavirus confirmed on July 31.

Currently, 625 citizens in the province are listed for home quarantine, of which 174 have tested positive for the virus but are asymptomatic, with monitoring conducted by the primary healthcare sector.

A total of 466 residents of Shirak province have recovered from coronavirus and have been discharged from the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital. Additionally, 50 patients have been transferred to the capital. There have been 35 reported deaths due to the virus.
