Former Employees of Lydian Armenia Protest in Front of Government
Former employees of Lydian Armenia are staging a protest today, July 30, in front of the government, demanding measures to be taken for the reopening of the Amulsar mine.
“Those people who have blocked the road have not worked anywhere for 2 years, yet they continue to live. I am doing various jobs, but I cannot manage my expenses; how are those people living for 2 years? A group of 20 should not decide how the lives of 80% of the residents of Gndevaz should be shaped,” said one of the protesters.
During the protest, police officers urged through a megaphone for the gathering to disperse, warning that failure to comply could lead to arrests.
