Reconstruction of the road section from Lichk to Meghri
The M-2 highway, which connects Yerevan, Yeraskh, Goris, and Meghri at the Armenian-Iranian border, is undergoing reconstruction on the section from the Lichk intersection to Meghri, covering a length of 10 km (from km 364+000 to km 374+000). The contractor for this project is the company "Meghri Road Construction".
The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure reports that the construction work, which began in June, is expected to be completed within 180 days from the start date. The reconstruction will include earthworks, rehabilitation of the road surface using cold processing technology, restoration of drainage systems, renovation of two bridges, installation of safety elements, and the application of a two-layer asphalt concrete cover along with road marking.
The contractual value of the works is approximately 1 billion 12 million AMD.
