Ruben Hayrapetyan's Son Will Not Be Detained
The Yerevan court of first instance has rejected the detention request for Rafik Hayrapetyan, son of Ruben Hayrapetyan. This was reported by the Hayrapetyans' lawyer, Amram Makinyan, on his Facebook page.
“Today, the deprivation of Rafik Hayrapetyan's freedom was not possible only because of the established reasonable suspicion of only one of the acts attributed to him, and taking into account that he has two minor children, the judge of the Yerevan court of first instance, A. Hovhannisyan, made the only possible legal decision to reject the detention request, guided by the well-known requirements of the Court of Cassation regarding the requirements of the law on declaring amnesty in 2018.”
“In this situation, the court could not even address the grounds for detention concerning the fact that a search warrant has been issued for Rafik Hayrapetyan. I am confident that everything is ahead…” he wrote.
