Death Toll from Coronavirus in Turkey Reaches 4249

On May 21, 27 people died from the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Turkey. This was announced by Turkey's Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca on his official Twitter account, as reported by Ermenihaber.

He noted that during one day, 33,633 tests were conducted, resulting in 961 new confirmed cases of the infection. Meanwhile, there were 27 recorded deaths among the infected and 1,003 recoveries during the same period.

According to official data, to date, 114,990 people have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey, while 820 patients are currently in intensive care. Thus, according to the latest data, Turkey has recorded a total of 153,548 infections and 4,249 deaths. The number of tests conducted has reached 1,729,988.
