Roads in Armenia Are Passable, Lars Open Only for Trucks

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of May 19 at 08:30, the roads in the territory of Armenia are mostly passable. The road leading to Kʼari Lich in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed for an indefinite period, while the road to Amberd Fortress is difficult to traverse.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia’s Emergency Management Department and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is now open only for cargo transportation after intensive snow removal efforts.

At the same time, we inform you that the restriction on the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This ban does not apply to cargo transportation.
