Mi-8 Military Helicopter Crash-Lands Near Moscow
A Mi-8 military helicopter has made a hard landing in the Klinsky area near Moscow, resulting in the fatalities of its crew. According to TASS news agency, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, preliminary reports indicate that the aviation accident was caused by a technical malfunction.
"On May 19, around 20:00 Moscow time, while conducting a training flight, the Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Russian Aerospace Forces made a hard landing approximately 20 kilometers away from the settlement. As a result of the hard landing, the crew of the helicopter succumbed to their injuries," the military agency stated in its report.
