Roads in Armenia Mainly Passable; Lars Open Only for Freight Transport

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that as of May 18 at 08:00, the roads throughout the territory of Armenia are mainly passable. The road leading to Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period, while the road to Amberd Fortress is difficult to traverse.

Regarding Lars, information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for North Ossetia indicates that the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for freight transport after intensive snow removal efforts.

At the same time, it is noted that the decision prohibiting foreigners from entering Georgia remains in effect. However, this ban does not apply to freight transportation.
