Nicola Aznavour Appeals to Government to Name Zvartnots Airport in Honor of Aznavour
The Public Council has announced that the "Zvartnots" airport has been proposed to be named after Charles Aznavour by the "Aznavour" Foundation and Nicola Aznavour, the son of the renowned Armenian personality.
"The Foundation has informed that the initiative was put forward by fans of Charles Aznavour. In connection with this issue, the Government of Armenia has also approached the Public Council for their position. Given the difficulties and impossibility of convening meetings due to the state of emergency, we will be compelled to discuss this and other issues and confirm conclusions electronically or remotely," the announcement stated.
All members of the Public Council have been sent the package received from the Government of Armenia, but the public's opinion is also of paramount importance, at least through social networks, which is why the proposal is being posted on the Public Council's Facebook page. We would be pleased to receive your observations and opinions regarding this matter.
