Law enforcement agencies must and are addressing Mikhail Minasian's statements. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“I want to state that the State Revenue Committee has not committed any illegal acts regarding the export of tobacco. It is the exporters themselves who should have exported to a third country but attempted to illegally sell to a country where they had no permission. The law enforcement agencies of that country should deal with this issue and punish all those responsible,” the Prime Minister said.

He did not comment on another of Minasian's revelations that the smuggling scheme was led by members of his family, including Hrachya Hakobyan. “Regarding the episode concerning my wife's brother, I am aware that Hrachya has filed a lawsuit. I am glad that there will be a public judicial process, and during that process, you all will have the opportunity to see what is right and what is wrong, rather than me having to provide the answers,” Pashinyan said.
