Former Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to be Questioned via Video Call

The newspaper "Joterm" reports that on May 18, Monday, the investigative committee studying the circumstances of the military operations that took place in April 2016 will hold a meeting. Sources from "Joterm" indicate that it is possible that on the same day, the committee will question former Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian via video call. However, it cannot be ruled out that on Monday another individual may be "hosted" by the committee, while Nalbandian's video call may be scheduled for another day.

The reason is that the former foreign minister has already given his consent to answer questions via video call, as he is currently residing in the Russian Federation and cannot come to Armenia.

The committee members are trying to uncover what document was signed in Russia by the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Yuri Khachaturov, which they cannot clarify directly with Khachaturov, as he has refused to respond to the committee's inquiries.

Moreover, this meeting-discussion could be the last for the investigative committee, after which committee members plan to travel to Artsakh, where they will again meet with current and former officials who are aware of the circumstances surrounding the April War.

The committee's activity term expires on June 2, and after the visit to Artsakh, they must present the committee's report.
