Zohrab Mnatsakanyan Holds Phone Conversation with Lavrov

On May 14, at the initiative of the Russian side, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This information was reported by the official website of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The heads of the foreign policy agencies of Armenia and Russia discussed matters related to the bilateral agenda, as well as issues concerning cooperation within regional frameworks such as the CIS, EAEU, and CSTO.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Sergey Lavrov also addressed the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. In the context of addressing challenges posed by the new-type coronavirus, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan emphasized the unconditional commitment of all parties to the conflict to the provisions of the five-party statement adopted on April 21 with the participation and mediation of the Minsk Group co-chairs.
