Video: Protest Action at Tsitsernakaberd

Member of the 'Alternative Municipality' initiative and former council member Sona Aghekyan, along with supporters, held a protest action at Tsitsernakaberd, demanding the cancellation of the decision to install a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Yerevan.

“Who is Gandhi? Gandhi has denied the Armenian Genocide; he was a partner of Atatürk,” says Aghekyan.

Recall that the Yerevan Council made a decision during its meeting on April 28 to place a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the park area between Halabyan and Margaryan streets in Yerevan.
