Court Acquits 'Don Pipo'
The Court of General Jurisdiction of Armavir Province, presided over by Hrachik Sargsyan, has acquitted Arthur Asatryan, known by the nickname 'Don Pipo,' and found him not guilty of the charges brought against him. This information was confirmed to NEWS.am by Arthur Asatryan's lawyer, Gegham Hakobyan.
According to the indictment, Arthur Asatryan was accused of organizing and leading a group of individuals with prior agreement to abduct three persons—Vazgen Ghazakhuytsyan, Artak Ayvazyan, and Arkadi Kochinyan—while using objects as weapons and inflicting dangerous violence on the health of the last two individuals. The charges against Asatryan included multiple counts under Article 38-131, part 2, clauses 1, 2, 3, and 6 of the RA Criminal Code for the abduction of three individuals with the use of dangerous violence and objects as weapons.
